The EUROMECH Colloquium focuses on particle transport in flows through three key questions: How do collections of complex particles disperse in (in)homogeneous, (an)isotropic flows? How does particle deformability and mobility influence transport and spatial distribution in simple and complex flows? How do prolate and oblate particles aggregate and fragment in flows? These questions underpin many environmental and industrial applications yet remain difficult to model. The colloquium will bring together computational, experimental, and theoretical researchers from engineering, atmospheric, oceanic, and fundamental sciences to share recent advances, exchange tools, and foster new collaborations on that topic.
