This colloquium focusses on recent advances in experimental measurement techniques that enable new physical insights into multiphase flow behavior across a wide range of spatial and temporal scales. Multiphase flows exhibit complex dynamics and are central to many natural and industrial processes, yet they remain challenging to investigate. The event brings together experts in advanced experimental techniques for imaging multiphase flows to address key topics such as droplet formation, breakup and coalescence, bubble dynamics, and transport in particle-laden flows. The colloquium aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration to assess current limitations and define future directions for multiphase flow measurements.
