"The unprovoked Russian attack on the independent country of Ukraine violates international law and has led to a large-scale humanitarian crisis. The invasion is an assault on academic freedom and on the opportunities for international scientific interchange. IUTAM stands in solidarity with the scientific community in Ukraine and acknowledges those Russian scientists who are opposed to this attack."
