The proposed Colloquium aims at discussing the recent advances and the open questions in the area of complex particle dynamics in turbulent flows by gathering scientists from both the physics and engineering communities. The presentations and the discussion sessions will be organized according to the following five topics, which reflect the main points discussed above:

- Lagrangian turbulence
- Non-spherical particles
- Particles with inertial-range sizes
- Collisions and aggregation
- Active particles
