After nine years of service, Prof. Stefanie Reese stepped down from the position of treasurer. From July 1 2024, the new treasurer is Prof. Kerstin Weinberg.

The European Mechanics Society has awarded Pierre Suquet, former Secretary General of EUROMECH, and Viggo Tvergaard, former member of the EUROMECH Council, the Honorary Membership of the society.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of our dear advisor, friend and colleague, Franz Ziegler, Professor Emeritus of Rational Mechanics at the TU Vienna, who passed away on January 4, 2016.
