The colloquium will focus on Mechanics, Thermomechanics and Simulation of Short Fibre Reinforced Cementitious Composites (SFRCC).
SFRCC are gaining rapidly more importance in civil engineering, most prominently Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete (SFRC). The challenge is, that the material properties depend on the fibre distribution and orientation, which are strongly influenced by the flow into the formwork and the member geometry.
The main topics of the colloquium:
- enhancement of predictive models for SFRCC and SFRC, including theory and simulation and machine learning
- consideration of fibre orientation and distribution in real size concrete elements, including measurement and simulation
- fracture mechanics of short fibre reinforced cementitious composites
- development of codes for SFRCC
